SALARY REVIEWS & SALARY SURVEYS Ø Market Data analysis & Salary Review process for Citibank in the United Arab Emirates-1998 Ø Salary Survey for Unilever Arabia covering United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Oman & Bahrain. (4 separate surveys)-1998 Ø Salary survey for the banking sector in the United Arab Emirates & Oman for Citibank N.A. This also involves a full internal review of salaries following completion of the survey-1999 & 2001 (in Progress) Ø Salary Review project for Union National Bank, United Arab Emirates using data from the Citibank Salary Survey project-1999 Ø Analysis of market salary data & year 2000 salary review process for Citibank in UAE & Oman. Ø Market Compensation Review & Salary Review Analysis for the Middle Eastern & South Asian operations of Standard Chartered Bank. This review covered 7 countries (UAE, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, Pakistan, Sri Lanka & Bangladesh). Ø Salary surveys (3 separate surveys) for a major FMCG company in the Fortune 500 covering their Gulf Operations across 3 countries-2000/2001 (project in progress). Ø Conduct of a market based review for the terms & conditions governing the employment of local national staff & third party contracted staff for the UAE operations of a major international Bank (project in progress) Ø Conduct of a salary survey for the Gulf operations of a major multinational bank. (project under consideration for launch in November 2000) Ø Salary Survey for the Saudi Arabian operations of a major Fortune 500 firm (project under consideration for launch in February 2001) Ø Establishment of market related salary scales & performance related reward plans for a large local Bank in the UAE. (project in progress) Ø Job Evaluation Review for the Global Corporate Bank of Standard Chartered Bank in Singapore. This review covered management jobs on a global basis Ø Implementation of a Job Evaluation System for the operations of Standard Chartered Bank in Zambia Ø Design, development & implementation of a job evaluation system for non-management staff for a major Fortune 500 firm. This is to be done for their entire Middle East operations. (project under consideration) Ø Establishment of the strategy, role & responsibilities of the Human Resources function In Acer Computer (M.E.) Ltd. Also set up their resourcing & recruitment policies. Ø Establishment of a Human Resources strategy & direction paper for Al Ghandi Automotive Group. Ø Establishment of a total Human Resources management package, including the development of policies & systems for the distribution operations in the UAE for a major industrial goods manufacturer & for a group in the education & medical care sectors. (project under consideration) Ø Conduct of a Human Resources due diligence review & providing integration solutions for a major US based company (client of Hewitt Associates) in the energy sector for the takeover of a local UAE based company. Ø Integration of the Compensation & Benefits policies including the design & development of a compensation model for the Middle East & South Asian Operations for two major banks that have recently merged. This integration & harmonization project involves 14 countries (UAE, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, Iran, Jordan, Palestine, Lebanon, Israel, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh & Nepal) across the region. (project in progress) Ø Advising a client of Hewitt Associates on the issues involved with integration on the takeover of a firm in Pakistan. Ø Advising a major European Bank on Human Resources implications on the sale of operations in Sri Lanka (project in progress) Ø Establishment of Employment Terms for Arab Bank in United Arab Emirates Ø Review & redesign of the Compensation structure for specified Priority Banking positions in UAE, Bahrain, Qatar & Lebanon for Arab Bank plc. Ø Review & redesign of the Compensation structure for the distribution operations in the Middle East for Friesland Coberco Dairy Foods, The Netherlands. Ø Review of Compensation structures for specified Senior Management positions in Egypt for a major multinational client of Hewitt Associates in the USA. Ø Review of total cost & employment terms in Egypt for a Site Selection Project for a major client of Hewitt Associates. This client is reviewing options for setting up a manufacturing plant in the technology industry. Ø Establishing contractual terms & conditions of employment for local staff for a US client of Hewitt Associates wishing to set up an operation in Lebanon. Ø Establishment of a compensation & benefit structure linked to market based pay for the Senior Management team based in the UAE for Bank Melli Iran. Ø Review of all insured benefits for staff across the Middle East & South Asian operations for Standard Chartered Bank. This review covers 8 countries (Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, UAE, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar & Bahrain) & is focused on providing common benefit structures to all staff to facilitate mobility. Ø Restructuring of compensation systems & all Human Resources policy for the Gulf operations of Standard Chartered Bank. Ø Review of Perquisite & Benefit structures & policies with a view to converting these to cash payments & simplifying processes & administration for the South East Asian operations for Standard Chartered Bank. This covered both expatriates as well as locally employed staff across 8 countries (Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Taiwan, Philippines & Brunei). Ø Design & Development of Total Compensation Statements for a major multinational bank in the region as a global system. (project under consideration) Ø Design & development of an incentive scheme for all non-management
